📢 Take Action: Uphold Refugee Protections
/Dear Friend,
On February 18, a federal court filing outlined plans that could significantly impact resettled refugees who have already been living in the United States for at least one year.
The filing describes a proposal to expand enforcement actions under what has been referred to as “Operation PARRIS,” including indiscriminately arresting and re-screening resettled refugees who have not yet adjusted to lawful permanent resident status.
For decades, the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program has served as a durable solution for families fleeing violence and persecution — offering safety, stability, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
That promise of permanence matters. Policies that create uncertainty for individuals who were lawfully admitted and are working toward permanent status risk undermining the stability these families were promised.
At the same time, Congress is currently negotiating federal funding and oversight measures related to the Department of Homeland Security, creating a critical moment for lawmakers to hear from their constituents.
We encourage you to contact your Members of Congress today and urge them to:
• Uphold long-standing refugee protections guaranteed under U.S. law
• Ensure due process and stability for resettled families
• Strengthen oversight and accountability in immigration enforcement
• Preserve the integrity of the U.S. refugee resettlement program

Refugees are our neighbors, coworkers, and entrepreneurs. They are parents raising children in our schools and contributing to our local economies. Policies that foster stability and opportunity strengthen our communities.
Thank you for standing alongside our newest neighbors.
Sincerely,
