Standing With Mississippi Communities After Disaster

Dear Friend,

In the wake of devastating tornadoes that tore through Southern Mississippi last Wednesday, hundreds of families are now facing overwhelming loss and uncertainty. Early reports indicate that approximately 400 homes were impacted as communities begin the difficult journey toward recovery.

Inspiritus Disaster Relief is responding.

In coordination with Lutheran World Relief and in partnership with Love Without Walls, Inspiritus will help distribute critical relief supplies to impacted families, including personal hygiene kits, baby care kits, and quilts. These resources will provide comfort, dignity, and practical support to individuals and families navigating the aftermath of disaster.

This week, Julie Dimitrov, Assistant Director for Disaster Response, alongside staff from Lutheran World Relief, will travel to Mississippi to receive incoming shipments and help coordinate on-the-ground distribution efforts alongside local partners and community leaders.

At Inspiritus, we know recovery begins with more than debris removal or emergency supplies. It begins with compassion, partnership, and people showing up for one another in moments of crisis.

Because of supporters like you, we are able to respond when communities need help most.

As recovery efforts continue, your support can help empower disaster survivors on their road to recovery. Donations allow Inspiritus to quickly mobilize resources, coordinate response efforts, and stand alongside families as they begin rebuilding their lives.

Thank you for helping us bring hope, care, and stability to communities facing disaster.

With gratitude,

Jaime Mok
