HOW INSPIRITUS COACHES HELPED RIAZULLAH START A NEW LIFE!
Riazullah came to the United States from Afghanistan through the Special Immigrant Visa program, seeking safety and a new life five years ago.
Riazullah has had many ups and downs since resettling in the US. Recently, he enrolled in the Savings Match program at Inspiritus to reduce his debts and build his credit. After working with his Inspiritus Coach, he managed to reduce his debt, as well as successfully balance his household budget.
Then, suddenly, COVID-19 caused him to lose his job, and he was again not able to cover his basic household expenses. His coach guided him through several employment coaching sessions and worked with him to quickly find another job to meet his household expenses.
Riazullah was eager to accept any employment available to him. Through his coaching sessions, his coach discovered that he had formerly worked in electrical maintenance in Afghanistan. Riazullah had not previously shared this experience because he didn’t believe he would be able to work in the same high skill field in the US. Inspiritus was able to help Riazullah obtain a higher paying job as an electrician and maintenance technician that paid $18.50 per hour!
Riazullah is relieved and grateful that he is now able to pay all his essential expenses, and he has begun saving money to buy his own home in the near future.
