Hold A Donation Drive Work within your company to collect furniture and household items for a refugee apartment, collect donations for youth and family permanency, collect supplies for the LSG's Camp Mosaic and Afterschool Program, or collect essential items for a child in a new foster home. (Statewide)
Assemble Kits for LSG Collect items and assemble toiletry kits, first aid kits, stock the pantry kits to donate to LSG. We will provide a list of needed items for each kind of kit. (Statewide)
Host a Homecoming Party for a Foster Care or Adoptive Family Host a gathering where each attendee brings items from a wish list provided by LSG to help a foster care or adoptive family prepare the bedroom and home for a new child joining their family. Help the group learn more about LSG’s work in Foster Care and Adoptions and how they can support LSG in our work with children and families. (Statewide)
Help with Disaster Recovery LSG partners with groups to respond to areas in Georgia where disasters have occurred. Send a team of volunteers to work on disaster response projects in areas where disasters have occurred. (Statewide)
Throw A Housewarming Party for a Refugee Family Welcome a refugee family to their new home by throwing a party at which party-goers will gift the family with the things they need to start their new life in Georgia. You can choose a room like kitchen or bathroom and gather those items all the way to providing the furnishings of an entire apartment and setting up the home for a new refugee family! (Atlanta and Savannah)
Sponsor a Field Trip Make possible enrichment and recreational activities for children, youth and adults served through LSG’s programs by providing tickets to special places and events that don’t generally offer free or discount tickets to non-profit groups like the aquarium, a special sporting event, a museum or festival. (Statewide)
Hope Tree for the Holidays You can help LSG provide holiday gifts for every child and adult served by LSG in December of each year. Pledge to provide gifts for a certain number of people and LSG will provide individual cards with the wish list of gifts for each person. Gifts are returned to LSG for distribution. (Statewide)
The MLK Day of Service Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of Beloved Community by joining LSG on the MLK holiday in January for a morning of learning, service and advocacy. Bring a team of your volunteers to join with other LSG volunteers to support all the LSG program areas – Children and Family Services, Refugee and Immigration Services, Disability Services and Disaster Response.
