John has more than 25 years experience in ministry on nonprofit leadership. Before joining Inspiritus in February 2017, he served as the CEO at Action Ministries in Atlanta. John is ordained as a minister in the United Methodist Church.
Vice President of Programs
Michelle joined Inspiritus in January 2019 after five years of serving on its Board of Directors. As a deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for the last 12 years, she has held both congregational and judicatory leadership roles. Michelle brings her passion for accompanying and serving the neighbor and her relationships with local faith communities to the Inspiritus mission of guiding individuals and families on a path from surviving to thriving.
VP of Development
Virginia is a dynamic nonprofit advocate with 16 years of development experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Virginia studied Political Science & Philosophy at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Non-Profit Management in the MPA program at Georgia State University, and as a Policy Fellow with the Georgia Partners for Excellence in Education. Virginia has a passion for inspiring leaders to invest in solutions that empower their communities thrive.
Director of Finance and Accounting
Theresa has been with the agency since May of 2000. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Troy University.
Regional Director - Middle Tennessee
Janet joins the Inspiritus team with 29 years of experience in nonprofit program development and management in Nashville, TN. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Middle Tennessee State University.
Director of Children and Family Services
Tracie earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Shorter College. She has more than 25 years’ experience in outpatient/inpatient mental health and child welfare.
Director of Disability Services
Christina joined Inspiritus in August 2014. With more than 10 years of experience working with people who have disabilities, Christina has spent her life advocating for others in various roles. She earned an Associate’s degree in Human Services at Georgia Highlands College while serving the North GA community and went on to earn Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Christina enjoys serving others and being part of their journey to live the most independent life as possible.
Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services
Aimee came to the United States through the Refugee Resettlement Program in 1997. She joined Inspiritus’ refugee and immigration team in 2009. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University.
Director of Community Engagement
Melanie has more than 25 years of experience in creating a vision for volunteerism and implementing community engagement strategies and programs for congregations and nonprofit organizations. She has a Masters in Theology and is a rostered Minister of Word and Service in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Through her work with Inspiritus, Melanie lives out her vocation as a deacon to serve at the intersection of the church and world - seeking wholeness in the world and equipping others for acts of compassion, healing and justice.
