Gap Services
Gap Services were created to serve eligible clients from all ORR eligible population. It is a 90-day, client centered, case management program that assists clients with addressing basic needs that they did not access due to lack of other possible services. These clients are now eligible for services and assistance for those clients who arrived prior to September 30, 2023.
This program is designed to help all eligible clients thrive in their new communities by assisting with enrollment in employment programs and public benefits, referrals to medical and mental health services, and more.
In partnership with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Inspiritus is proud to provide services to eligible clients in Atlanta, GA, Savannah, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Nashville, TN.
Who is Eligible?
Cuban and Haitian entrants
Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees
Asylees
Afghan Humanitarian Parolees
Refugees
Iraqi and Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders
Amerasians
Victims of human trafficking
*Unaccompanied Minors with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)
Unaccompanied Minors who hold U status
What Services are offered?
Initial assessment of needs and home visit
Work authorization application
Public benefits application (including Social Security and Medicare)
Medical Screening
School enrollment
Referrals to employment programs
Cultural orientation
Mental health referrals
Legal assistance referrals
